We are demanding Corporate America pull their business out of Russia after two weeks of Vladimir Putin’s brutal siege on Ukraine. This ad, and the subsequent social media campaign, puts a spotlight on many prominent corporations who are profiting off of operations in Russia, including Burger King, Marriott, Dunkin Donuts, Subway, General Mills, Citibank, Halliburton and Bridgestone. Hold Them Accountable spokesperson Tyler Jones released the following statement in reaction to the ad’s release: “Vladimir Putin’s grotesque and unprecedented attack on the people of Ukraine requires all of us to do everything we can to stop him. That must start with putting human lives over profits. Corporate America must pull their business out of Russia and stop funding Putin’s war crimes and brutal reign of terror. It’s time to do the right thing.” Additionally, MeidasTouch co-founder Brett Meiselas released the following statement reacting to the ad’s release: “MeidasTouch is excited to join Hold Them Accountable in this campaign to get Corporate America to pull out of Russia. As Putin has begun to openly attack civilians and journalists, it’s clear his bloodthirst knows no end. And while there are limits to how we can intervene militarily, there is still much more we can do. We need to starve this brutal regime of the funding they need to continue this brutal invasion and stop them in their tracks. And that starts with corporate America pulling out of Russia.”
