We are living in Trump’s dystopian nightmare, foreshadowed by his description of ‘American Carnage’ during his Inauguration Address. Trump’s admiration and emulation of dictators and despots has brought American democracy to its brink. This is a national nightmare we must all end by voting Trump out of office this November. The video is inspired by the famous ‘1984’ Apple Macintosh commercial which itself was an allusion to George Orwell’s novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. The 1984 Apple ad signified the end to conformity with the protagonist throwing a hammer at a screen depicting ‘Big Brother.’ Similarly, in our video, as Trump spews hate and dictatorial rhetoric, the hammer thrown at the screen signifies the end of the Trump regime, and the end to this American nightmare.
