Professor Franita Tolson is a Professor of Law and Vice Dean for Faculty and Academic Affairs at University of Southern California. She has a book coming out in 2023 titled “In Congress We Trust?: Enforcing Voting Rights from the Founding to the Jim Crow Era”. In September 2021, Professor Tolson was called on to provide testimony regarding voting rights in a Senate subcommittee hearing where she challenged Ted Cruz on his states issues with voting access.
